Former member of the Federal Home of Representatives from Bayelsa State, Israel Sunny-Goli, has suggested former President Goodluck Jonathan to shelve any ambition of contesting the 2027 presidential election.
Sunny-Goli gave the recommendation on Thursday whereas responding to questions throughout an interview on Channels Tv’s Politics At this time.
He was reacting to the latest defection of Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri from the Peoples Democratic Celebration.
“I believe Jonathan will take this in good religion as a result of he’s a very good man and desires the progress of the state. Folks have been speculating about him contesting for the following elections. I consider Jonathan won’t make the error of contesting for the 2027 elections as speculated by political jobbers, as a result of the percentages are towards him.
“He has not made a transfer after his exit from the presidency to indicate that he’s nonetheless a sensible politician or energetic politician on this nation,” he stated.
