Troops of the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Military have rescued a serious kidnapped on Monday by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in Delta State, southern Nigeria.
The rescued officer has been recognized as MD Josiah.
The spokesperson for 63 Brigade, Iliyasu Rijau, in a press release on Tuesday, stated the operation was carried out in Bomadi Native Authorities Space of the state.
The kidnapping
In keeping with a report by Vanguard newspaper, Mr Josiah attended a wedding ceremony in Kpakiama, a group near Bomadi, over the weekend. After the ceremony, he went to his lodge at Bomadi, the council’s headquarters, the place he was kidnapped.
