Amb. Jonathan Ojadah, World President , United Nations Worldwide Peace and Governance Council, says the main focus of his programme  is to finish insurgency and promote youth empowerment in Nigeria.

Ojadah made this identified  in an interview with Newsmen on Friday in Lagos.

He stated  that efficient  and vibrant youth empowerment would curb youthful exuberance and eradicate poverty.

In accordance with him, the main focus has been on curbing insurgency and seeing how the council can mitigate insecurity points which were affecting the lives and property  of individuals within the North Central area of Nigeria.

“Our focus has been Plateau, Benue, and Kogi. As it’s possible you’ll know, there have been excessive numbers of insurgency and banditry in these states.

“What we do is to make sure that we facilitate funding for peace missions by our peace initiatives with the state authorities and enlightening members of the general public on battle decision mechanisms.

“Additionally, giving humanitarian help to the communities which were affected by  banditry and insurgency.

“To date so good, we now have our footprints in these three states and we additionally hope to increase the venture  to different areas in  the nation,” he stated.

The ambassador stated the  initiative would focus extra on human capital improvement by group vocational empowerment and abilities acquisition centres.

In accordance with him, the council  will work in collaboration with state governments to make sure there may be sufficient land to  construct vocational talent centres.

He added that by advantage of the companions who joined forces with them to equip the vocational centres, it helped to offer a strong entrepreneurship and empowerment abilities improvement and acquisition programmes for the   younger era.

Ojadah added that sufficient gear to work with would allow  youths to have a way of belonging within the society.

“As soon as the youth are geared up with good vocational abilities,  it provides them that entrepreneurial spirit.

“By  the time we work with authorities businesses like SMEDAN, to assist  implement some insurance policies that help these youths in growing their small and medium scale enterprise ventures, there will probably be big enchancment,” Ojadah stated.

The ambassador added that one of many main challenges dealing with the youth is lack of correct orientation, as they wanted to be correctly guided and oriented towards group improvement.

“That’s the place the function of schooling is available in, we have to enlighten these youths extra.

“We have to maintain arising with talent sensitisation initiatives, enlightening these youths on what they’ll do for themselves for significant existence.

“In Ajah group of Lagos state for instance, you will notice that loads of younger youngsters and youths are on the market on the streets doing nothing.
