Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has defined why he refused to legally problem the constitutionality of the six-month state of emergency imposed on the state by President Bola Tinubu, saying his determination was pushed by the necessity to protect peace and stability.
In a televised statewide broadcast on Friday, shortly after resuming workplace following the suspension of the emergency rule, Fubara mentioned he selected cooperation over confrontation in the course of the turbulent interval.
