The son of jailed Hong Kong media magnate and pro-democracy advocate Jimmy Lai says he is optimistic U.S. President Trump can persuade China his father must be launched, as a result of holding him imprisoned solely reinforces the repute of Beijing as an authoritarian, freedom-crushing energy.
