Troops of 6 Division, Nigerian Military, have seized over 18,000 litres of stolen crude oil and deactivated eight artisanal refineries within the Niger Delta area.
Based on an announcement by the Appearing Deputy Director, 6 Division Military Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Danjuma Jonah, these efforts led to the profitable deactivation of eight artisanal refineries, the arrest of a number of suspected oil thieves, and the confiscation of over 18,000 litres of stolen crude oil.

In Akwa Ibom State, troops intercepted two Toyota Camry autos with registration numbers ANA 495 CK and AKD 233 EQ conveying 120 nylon baggage full of over 3,600 litres of illegally refined Automotive Fuel Oil (AGO) alongside Ikot Okoro, Abak LGA.
