President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the withdrawal of law enforcement officials presently offering safety for Very Vital Individuals (VIPs) within the nation.
Henceforth, police authorities will deploy them to focus on their core police duties.
The presidential directive was issued throughout a safety assembly held by President Tinubu on Sunday, attended by the police, air power, military chiefs, and the Director-Basic of the State Safety Providers (SSS) in Abuja.
In accordance with the presidential directive, VIPs who need police safety will now request well-armed personnel from the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Many elements of Nigeria, particularly distant areas, have few law enforcement officials on the stations, thus making the duty of defending and defending the folks tough.
In view of the present safety challenges dealing with the nation, the president is desirous of boosting police presence in all communities.

Already, President Tinubu has accredited the recruitment of 30,000 further law enforcement officials. The federal authorities can be collaborating with the states to improve police coaching services nationwide.
Sunday’s assembly was attended by the Chief of Military Workers, Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu; the Chief of Air Workers, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke; the Inspector-Basic of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; and the Director-Basic of the Division of State Providers, Tosin Ajayi.
