ABUJA — PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has accepted the extension of the tenure of the Surveyor-Common of the Federation, Mr AbuduGaniyu Adebomehin, by two years.
The extension, which takes impact from January 5, 2026, was necessitated by the current switch of the Workplace of the Surveyor-Common of the Federation (OSGOF) to the Presidency.
The Surveyor-Common has already initiated reforms throughout essential sectors of geospatial knowledge programs, which the President is eager to see accomplished.
A press release by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga acknowledged that “the President expects Mr Adebomehin to consolidate the reforms throughout the subsequent two years, specializing in nationwide land administration and administration, highways and abutting land infrastructure coordination, reclamation and erosion management programmes, and different associated issues of strategic nationwide significance.”
Abdulganiyu Adebomehin was appointed the Surveyor-Common of the Federation (SGoF) by the late President Muhammadu Buhari, efficient January 5, 2022.
