The All African Para Badminton Championships 2025 hosted by Nigeria has resulted in Umuahia with Group Nigeria topping the medals chat with 36 medals, together with 10 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze.

Kenya got here second with 11 medals together with 4 gold, 2 Silver and 5 bronze whereas Egypt got here third with 3 gold, 1 Silver and 4 bronze amongst different outcomes.

Talking on Sunday, on the closing ceremony held on the Worldwide Convention Centre, Umuahia, Abia state Governor, Alex Otti, described the occasion as a celebration of resilience and unity, drawing members from throughout African international locations.

The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports activities Improvement, Sir Nwaobilor Ananaba appreciated Benin Republic, to Egypt, to Cameroon, to Mauritius, Mozambique, to Tanzania, Rwanda, DR Congo, Kenya, Mozambique, and Burkina Faso for his or her participation.

The governor equally appreciated the Badminton World Federation and the Badminton Confederation of Africa for his or her assist, assuring that his administration is prepared to host the occasion once more subsequent 12 months.

Additionally talking, the Director of Sports activities in Abia, Obioma George expressed pleasure that Athletes from Abia contributed immensely to the Nigerian victory, thanking Governor Alex Otti for sponsoring the championship.
