Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, on Saturday declared that the South-East, and Ebonyi State specifically, will vote for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Umahi made the declaration whereas noting that there isn’t a house for the Peter Obi-led Obidient Motion in Ebonyi State.

The minister, a former governor of Ebonyi State, spoke through the Ohanivo 2025 New Yam Pageant in Onicha LGA of the state.

In accordance with Umahi, the South-East has been so marginalized that the area is not Obidient.

He stated: “We aren’t Obidient folks. We’ve got been so marginalized that we’re not Obidient. No, we’re not.

“However it’s the man that has given us a way of belonging, President Bola Tinubu. Let it not be that we’re from Ebonyi State and they’re saying this state belongs to us. There isn’t a Obidient individual in Ebonyi State.”

Umahi stated in 2027, the South-East – and Ebonyi State specifically – will reciprocate Tinubu’s good deeds by voting for him.

He insisted that the South-East, and the state, won’t be ‘deceived once more’ in 2027.

“What now we have to do is to file the nice issues that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accomplished for South-East and Ebonyi State when the time comes.

“We won’t be deceived once more as a result of the final election was a mistake however now we have come to be wiser. I cannot end naming all that the President is doing for us,” he added.
