Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has stated that Everlasting Voter’s Playing cards stay the one weapon in politics and never violence, warning towards any type of political violence within the state.
The governor charged residents within the state to take part actively within the ongoing voter registration train.
Idris made this name on the commissioning of the All Progressives Congress, APC, secretariat in Augie Native Authorities Space of the state.
Weighing in on a latest controversy, Governor Idris clarified a earlier assertion that he claimed was broadly misinterpreted.
“What I meant after I stated there’s warfare, is that it’s a political warfare, a warfare to be fought with our PVCs. So I urge everybody to go and get their PVC,” he defined.
He frowned on the latest incidents of political violence within the state and appealed to residents to reject all types of political thuggery.
“Our administration won’t tolerate any act of political violence. Kebbi State is understood for its political peace and tranquility, and we intend to maintain it that method,” he said.
