The Police in Sokoto State mentioned the total enforcement of the Tinted Glass Allow requirement for motorists will start on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Rufai, in an announcement on Tuesday, mentioned automobile house owners who require permits are anticipated to finish their registration by the official portal earlier than the enforcement date.

He mentioned the grace interval granted to motorists is to allow them to finish their purposes according to the Motor Automobiles (Prohibition of Tinted Glass) Act of 2004.

Accordingvto him, “The Command strongly advises members of the general public to conduct all transactions solely by the official portal at possap.gov.ng and be cautious of unauthorised people who could try to use this course of for private achieve.”

The PPRO defined that the appliance course of includes creating an account utilizing both the Nationwide Identification Quantity (NIN), Financial institution Verification Quantity (BVN), or Tax Identification Quantity (TIN), adopted by account verification, entry of auto particulars, doc add, cost, and ultimate verification by inspection and biometric seize.

“For candidates in Sokoto, biometric capturing can be performed on the State Intelligence Division (SID), State Headquarters, Gwandu Street, Sokoto. The train is freed from cost.”
