Police from Cellular Power (PMF) Squadron in Kebbi State have repelled a bandits’ assault on Zodi village in Zuru Native Authorities Space of Kebbi State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafiu Abubakar Kotarkoshi, in a press release stated the command additionally recovered no fewer than 141 rustled livestock and two bikes.
Kotarkoshi stated the incident occurred on 29 November 2025, when numerous armed bandits stormed the neighborhood and rustled an unspecified variety of animals.
“Upon receiving the misery report, operatives of the 36 PMF Squadron deployed for Operation Restore Peace swiftly responded and engaged the attackers in what was described as a heavy alternate of gunfire.”
The police stated most of the bandits had been neutralised, whereas others fled into the forest with gunshot wounds.
“A subsequent search of the encompassing forest led to the restoration of two bikes, 96 cows, and 45 sheep.
“The recovered livestock have since been handed over to the village head of Zodi for onward return to their rightful house owners, whereas the bikes had been transferred to the Divisional Police Officer in Zuru for additional investigation to establish their house owners.”
