The Yobe State Police Command has arrested eight suspects linked to housebreaking and theft, together with the stealing of three bikes in Damaturu, the state capital.
Police spokesperson, SP Abdulkarim Dungus, who disclosed this yesterday, stated the arrests adopted a two-day operation focused at housebreaking, cellphone snatching, and different organised crimes throughout the state.
He defined that through the second half of 2025, the Command recorded a number of instances of home and store break-ins, with gadgets price tens of millions of naira carted away. He stated: “We acquired reviews of retailers and homes being burgled, carting away family and store gadgets, in addition to three bikes in Damaturu, valued at about N1.5 million.”
