The Oyo State Authorities has cautioned the Federal Authorities in opposition to deceptive the general public over the possession of sure authorities property throughout the state, insisting that the affected lands had been lawfully revoked and reallocated after years of abandonment and misuse.

The State  Commissioner for Lands, Housing and City Growth, Akinfunmilayo Williams, made the comment, yesterday, throughout a press briefing in Ibadan.

Williams was reacting to a current public discover issued by the Federal Ministry of Housing and City Growth, which warned Nigerians in opposition to buying some listed properties in Oyo State, claiming that they continue to be federal belongings.

Responding, Williams mentioned the Oyo State Authorities was compelled to make clear the scenario, stressing that its actions had been lawful, clear and guided by the Land Use Act of 1978, which vests authority over all land in a state within the governor.

Williams defined that the six listed websites had both been deserted or left undeveloped for many years by federal businesses, creating safety dangers and hindering city progress.
