The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has described the alleged determination of the management of the Nigeria Labour Congress within the state to embrace partisanship as shameful and unethical to the event of the labour motion.

That is because the organised Labour within the state discloseed that the alleged tyrannical nature of the APC wouldn’t silence the union from combating for staff rights.

The APC in a press release issued by its Director of Media and Info Kola Olabisi on Friday, urged Osun NLC Chairman to be cautious of the politics he’s taking part in in order to not put the labour at a drawback.

He lamented that the labour chief within the state, somewhat than concentrate on labour-related points, turned himself to the Spokesperson of Governor Ademola Adeleke which uncovered the union to political interference.

“It’s apparent that the state NLC below the management of Arapasopo has confirmed the general public suspicion that the supposed organized labour union has turned itself into an arm of the PDP within the state.

Nevertheless, in a press release issued by the organised Labour, together with NLC, TUC and JNC, which was signed by Dr Christopher Arapasopo and others, it disclosed that the labour motion can’t be silenced by the APC’s alleged tyrannical nature.

In accordance with the assertion, “We strongly condemn in totality the current verbal assault on the State’s primary Labour Chief, Comrade (Dr.) Christopher Abimbola Arapasopo, by the Osun Chapter of the All Progressives Congress. This incident is a manifestation of the tyrannical tendencies which have turn out to be too acquainted in our state’s political panorama.

“We view this incident as an affront to the elemental rights and liberties of the commerce union pressure, and an alarming manifestation of the standard tyrannical tendencies displayed by APC within the State.

“It’s evident that the rules of social justice and the rights of staff and pensioners are being disregarded in some quarters. We strongly assert that the labour motion is an important pillar of our democracy and have to be allowed to operate with out concern of harassment or intimidation.

“We, the Osun State Labour Motion, want to make it clear that we’ll not take this assault or any assault on the management, staff and pensioners flippantly. We stand resolute in our dedication to defending the rights and welfare of staff in Osun.”
