Former Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has dismissed allegations that he influenced the screening course of that led to the disqualification of a number of governorship aspirants forward of the All Progressives Congress, APC, major election within the state.
The claims arose after Senator Iyiola Omisore and 6 different aspirants had been barred by the APC Screening Committee on Friday over what the panel described as inconsistencies and gaps of their nomination paperwork for the December 13 major.
These disqualified alongside Omisore embrace former deputy governor Benedict Alabi; former presidential aide Babajide Omoworare; Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kunle Adegoke; businessman Dotun Babayemi; insurance coverage professional Akin Ogunbiyi; and Babatunde Oralusi.
Omisore, who beforehand served as APC Nationwide Secretary, has rejected the choice, insisting that the committee’s report amounted to “the joke of the 12 months.”
