The Ogun State Authorities has shut down 5 Chinese language corporations and arrested a few of their officers for allegedly assaulting legislation enforcement officers and state officers finishing up their duties.
The affected corporations, positioned within the Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, are DL Plastics Restricted, Dyschenghan Plastics, SH Agricultural Restricted, Stunning Fibre Restricted and Jincaicai Nigeria Restricted.
Particular Adviser to the Governor on Setting and Managing Director of the Ogun State Waste Administration Authority (OGWAMA), Abayomi Hunye, who gave the directive, mentioned the businesses mobilised their employees to assault state officers.
He defined that the officers had visited the premises to implement a seal order after a number of invites and official letters over alleged environmental infractions, together with improper waste disposal, burning of waste and refusal to patronise government-recognised waste collectors.
“We’ve got been on this case for the previous six months. We despatched letters and invited them, however they refused to honour our invites. Notices of intention to seal have been pasted three months in the past, but they ignored them. Once we sealed their gates final week, they broke authorities chains,” Hunye mentioned.
He added that when officers returned with legislation enforcement officers, they have been attacked and injured, stressing that the federal government would prosecute these concerned and never tolerate “barbaric acts” underneath the guise of funding.
