A former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, in Edo State, Chris Nehikhare, has mentioned that former Governor Godwin Obaseki shouldn’t be on the run and stays prepared to answer any inquiries from anti-corruption businesses if required.
He made the assertion on Tuesday in Benin whereas responding to questions from journalists.
Nehikhare famous that the previous governor is giving his successor, Monday Okpebholo, the “area and alternative to show his value to the folks of the state.”
He mentioned, “Former Governor Obaseki’s presence in Edo would make Governor Okpebholo’s administration uneasy, as Obaseki doesn’t need him to be consistently in comparison with his personal sturdy efficiency in workplace.
“He’s not on the run, and if anyone desires him, together with the EFCC, ICPC and others, they’ll write to him and he would reply to no matter they need.
“Obaseki is doing his fellowship in a international college, and there’s a authorities in place in Edo. His efficiency shouldn’t be similar to Okpebholo’s work now.
“Governor Obaseki shouldn’t be coming again to Benin to run for Senate or some other place like different previous governors. He has served on the highest stage of governance in Edo, and it’s that honour he would proceed to take care of.”
Nehikhare urged Edo residents to ignore the fixed criticisms from the All Progressives Congress, APC, which he mentioned continues accountable Obaseki every day, noting that the previous governor made vital contributions to the state’s growth.
