Former Nationwide Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Waziri Bulama, has stated that no single area in Nigeria can win the presidency with out constructing alliances with others.

Bulama made the remarks throughout an interview on Come up Tv. 

He defined that Nigeria’s variety makes cooperation between areas important for democratic stability.

Bulama was responding to a comment credited to Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, who had stated that no politician might win the presidency with out the North and that the area would quickly determine the place its votes would go.

In reply, Bulama argued that no area might produce a president by itself. 

“Neither would a northerner win an election with out the help of different components of the nation,” he stated, stressing that alliances throughout areas stay important in Nigeria’s multi-ethnic democracy.

He defined that regardless of Late Muhammadu Buhari being a widely known determine with about 12 million constant votes throughout three elections, he couldn’t win till he fashioned alliances with different areas.

“So it was an ideological motion that related with residents throughout the nation, not simply within the North however throughout,” he stated.

He defined that when individuals be a part of a political get together, they’re anticipated to put aside native identities resembling tribe, area, or faith and as an alternative embrace the collective values and targets of the get together.
