Lawmakers of the New Nigeria Folks’s Celebration (NNPP) within the Home of Representatives have denied rumours that they plan to depart their get together for different political platforms.
The 13 lawmakers, who’re members of the Kwankwasiya Motion in Kano State, stated they continue to be loyal to the NNPP and its management.
They made this clear throughout a press convention in Abuja on Thursday, led by Hon. Garba Diso.
Their assertion got here after two NNPP lawmakers from Kano; Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin and Hon. Sagir Koki formally defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) through the Home plenary.
Diso, talking on behalf of his colleagues, stated stories that the Kwankwasiya lawmakers had been planning to dump the NNPP had been false and malicious.
“We want to categorically debunk these unfounded rumours and urge most of the people, our supporters, and well-meaning Nigerians to ignore such deceptive claims,” he stated.
He added that these spreading the rumours had been political detractors who’re threatened by the rising affect, unity, and resilience of the NNPP and the Kwankwasiya household, significantly in Kano State and throughout Nigeria.
Based on him, the lawmakers’ engagements with members of different events shouldn’t be seen as betrayal.

Diso reaffirmed their dedication to the get together’s beliefs.
“We stay steadfast in our allegiance to the NNPP and the Kwankwasiya ideology, which stands for justice, fairness, inclusiveness, and people-centered governance. No quantity of misinformation or propaganda will shake our religion within the motion or within the management,” he stated.
He pledged continued dedication to serving NNPP and the folks of Kano state.
“We stand agency, united, and dependable to the NNPP, to the Kwankwasiya Motion, and to the folks we serve,” he said.
