KANO—Tragedy struck in Kano yesterday when a 30-year-old man, recognized as Mutawakilu Ibrahim, allegedly stabbed his grandparents, Muhammad Dansokoto and Hadiza Tasidi, to dying following an altercation over meals.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna, stated the suspect, believed to have been beneath the affect of intoxicants, used a knife to stab each victims a number of occasions, inflicting extreme accidents.
The victims had been rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Kano, the place medical personnel confirmed them lifeless. Their corpses had been later launched to their family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.

“Throughout the altercation, the suspect allegedly used a knife to stab each victims in varied components of their our bodies, inflicting extreme accidents. The suspect, suspected to be beneath the affect of intoxicants, has since been arrested.”
Haruna added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Prison Investigation Division (SCID), Murder Part, for discreet investigation.
He assured that the suspect could be charged to court docket upon completion of investigations.
