The Lagos State Police Command has taken into custody Samsideen Oladiti, a 55-year-old high official of the Nationwide Union of Highway Transport Employees (NURTW), over allegations of homicide and assault, the command confirmed on Saturday.
Babaseyi Oluseyi, deputy spokesperson for the police command, stated in an announcement on X that Oladiti, popularly often known as “Shamelon,” was implicated in two violent incidents on Lagos Island.
The primary concerned the deadly assault of a person in August, whereas the second concerned severe accidents inflicted on a dispatch rider on September 17.
