Edison Ehie, the Chief of State to Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, has laid his elder brother, Chairman Benneth, to relaxation amid tears and grief from relations, associates, and political associates who gathered in Abarikpo Neighborhood, Ahoada East Native Authorities Space of the state.
The late Benneth died on November 13, 2024, on the Rivers State Authorities Home Clinic, weeks after struggling deadly head accidents when gunmen opened hearth throughout a post-election violence on October 7, 2024.
The assault occurred on the Ahoada East Council Secretariat, following violent clashes that erupted after the October 2024 native authorities elections, the place Benneth had joined political allies to rejoice the victory of the then council chairman, who received below the Motion Peoples Get together (APP) in an election performed below Governor Fubara’s administration.

Dignitaries on the funeral included Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Prof. Ngozi Odu, Secretary to the State Authorities Hon. Benibo Anabraba, and several other prime authorities officers who joined in paying their final respects.
