The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued 5 male kids believed to have been kidnapped and transported unlawfully from Maiduguri, Borno State, to Mubi in Adamawa.

In response to a press release issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, the rescue operation befell on September 13, 2025, following credible intelligence.

Performing swiftly on the tip-off, the Space Commander in Mubi, ACP Marcos Mancha, led a surveillance crew that intercepted the youngsters as they wandered the streets of Mubi city.

The rescued kids had been recognized as Adamu Musa (16), Suleiman Idris (10), Suleiman Mohammed (11), Dauda Yahaya (11), and Mohammed Alhassan (11).
All 5 boys, in accordance with the command, are residents of the Gwange space in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Preliminary investigations, as introduced by the police, point out that the youngsters had been kidnapped and brought from Maiduguri by a suspect recognized as Aliga Suleiman, a resident of Sabon Layi, Gwange, who’s presently on the run.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect, whereas the State Felony Investigation Division (SCID) has taken over the case for additional investigation.

Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, counseled the swift motion of the Mubi Space Command and ordered a full investigation to make sure the suspect is dropped at justice and the youngsters are safely reunited with their households.

The Commissioner additionally reassured the general public of the command’s unwavering dedication to the safety of lives and property throughout Adamawa State.
