Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Celebration, PDP, in Kwara State, Alhaji Babatunde Mohammed, has resigned from the social gathering, DAILY POST reviews.
In a telephone chat with DAILY POST in Ilorin on Saturday, Mohammed disclosed that he plans to defect to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The erstwhile Speaker, referred to as a staunch loyalist of former Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki, mentioned he had paid his dues in his former social gathering, having been a member since 2002.
Mohammed, who served as Speaker of the State Home of Meeting between 2009 and 2011 on the platform of the PDP, mentioned his former social gathering had grow to be hopeless, therefore his choice to depart.
He famous that whereas others, together with leaders of the PDP within the state, defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, up to now, he selected to stay within the PDP out of loyalty to the social gathering.
The previous Speaker, in his letter of resignation dated October 15, 2025, despatched to DAILY POST and addressed to the social gathering chairman of Agunjin Ward within the Ifelodun Native Authorities Space of the state, mentioned he left the social gathering for private causes.
