The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Gautier Mignot, says the bloc not too long ago offered €1.5 million to help victims of the Yelwata assaults and different Internally Displaced Individuals (IDPs) within the nation.
Mignot disclosed this in an interview with the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NAN experiences that in June 2025, suspected bandits attacked and killed over 100 individuals in Yelwata Group of Benue State.
Mignot mentioned the help included €250,000 in humanitarian support to IDPs and long-term social safety tasks in Benue State.
“After the assault, a number of the help was particularly specializing in IDPs.
