The Minister of Energy, Adebayo Adelabu, has declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat of Oyo State in 2027.
Adelabu, who’s an aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, stated he’s working for governorship as a result of “emi lokan,” which means it’s his flip.
In a viral video, the Minister stated his ambition isn’t pushed by private or egocentric pursuits.
Nonetheless, the Minister stated his aspiration to enhance the lives of the folks of the state is behind his drive to change into governor.
Talking in Yoruba, his indigenous language, he stated, “I’ve been on this political journey for fairly a while. In politics, I’ve discovered that one could not all the time get what one deserves in a single try life and politics have each taught me this lesson.
“I’ve paid my dues. I contested alongside Seyi Makinde in 2019 and once more in 2023.
