Leaders and stakeholders of Ebonyi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Get together, PDP, have pledged help for the newly appointed Caretaker Committee of the get together within the state.
At a stakeholders assembly held in Abakaliki, the get together leaders lauded the Nationwide Working Committee, NWC, for appointing the Caretaker Committee led by Barrister Ekuma Emmanuel, saying that the transfer has restored hope and cohesion within the get together within the state.
The assembly which attracted leaders of the get together from the 13 native authorities areas of the state, was attended by the South-East Nationwide Vice Chairman, Chidiebere Goodluck Egwu, the 2023 deputy governorship candidate, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu, former Appearing Nationwide Secretary of the PDP, Onwe S. Onwe, a former Deputy Nationwide Youth Chief, Chief John Igboke, the 2023 Director Common of Ebonyi State PDP Marketing campaign, Chief Autin Edeze, former governorship, Nationwide Meeting and State Home of Meeting aspirants, amongst many others.
Talking on the occasion, Nwagu stated that with the “appointment of the Caretaker Committee, the PDP in Ebonyi State is now able to rebuild its home.”
He emphasised that the “PDP can not die” noting that it’s now clear that the true management the get together has lastly arrived.
In his remarks, Egwu thanked the Nationwide Secretary of the PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, for being ambassador of the South-East.
Caretaker chairman, Ekuma, expressed happiness over the overwhelming help the committee has acquired from get together leaders and members.
He assured get together members that the caretaker committee is prepared and dedicated to making sure that it discharges its mandate and correctly situates the get together forward of the 2027 common election.
The PDP Nationwide Working Committee in a letter signed by the Nationwide Organising Secretary of the get together, Umar Bature, introduced the appointment of a 13-man caretaker committee led by Barrister Ekuma Emmanuel, Chairman and Moses Idika, Secretary.
Others members of the committee are, Chief Christopher E Ngwuta, Chief Godwin O Nwode, Barrister Ugochukwu Obasi, Engr. Odanwu E Ifeanyi, Barrister Lawson Chukwu, Chief Matthew Nkwegu, Igboke Chukwuma, Mr Adiele A Okoro,Engr. Francis Kalu, and Hon Muhammad I Oken, Augustine Ezike.
