The Delta Home of Meeting on Wednesday handed the state’s Anti-terrorism and Anti-cultism (Modification) Invoice 2025 for assent.
The Information Company of Nigeria experiences that the invoice sought to ban terrorism, cultism and the usage of bombs within the state.
The chief modification invoice is to offer clearer understanding of the offence of cultism as envisaged by the present regulation and for the benefit of prosecuting offenders.
The Majority Chief of the meeting, Emeka Nwaobi moved a movement for the suspension of the Home Rule 12, Order 80, 82 and 83, to allow the meeting take the third studying and its passage.
The movement, which was unanimously adopted by the meeting when put to a voice vote by the Speaker, Dennis Guwor, was seconded by Charles Emetulu (APC-Ndokwa West).

Mr Guwor stated that the invoice, when signed into regulation, would assist to ban terrorism, cultism and the usage of bombs within the state.
The speaker counseled the lawmakers for what he described as their “legislative dexterity” and dedication to responsibility.
He famous that the passage of the invoice was a testomony to their collective need for the general well-being of Deltans and the state generally.
Delta, like many different states in Nigeria, is going through a surge in cultism, which is widespread among the many youth.
Apart from, the meeting handed the State Schools of Schooling Invoice, 2025 after it handed by its third studying.
