Former Chief Justices of Nigeria are among the many first set of individuals to reach for the Hybrid Council of State assembly on the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
That is the second Council of State assembly below the administration of President Bola Tinubu. And he’s anticipated to current the nominees for the chairmanship of the Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee, INEC.
Council of State is attended by the sitting President, who presides over the assembly; former Presidents and heads of state; serving and retired Chief Justices of Nigeria, CJNs; President of the Senate; Speaker of the Home of Representatives; governors of the 36 states of the federation; the Lawyer-Basic of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, amongst others.
Already bodily seated on the Council Chambers are the President of the Senate, Chief Godswill Akpabio; 4 retired CJNs, Walter Onnoghen, Mahmud Mohammed, Alfa Belgore and Olukayode Ariwoola and majority of the state governors.
Secretary to the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, SGT, Senator George Akume, can be seated.
As at 1:30 p.m., President Tinubu had not arrived on the Council assembly. Solely former head of state, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) had joined just about.
After recitation of the primary stanza of the nationwide anthem, the assembly entered a closed doorways session.
