Hon. Engr. Sagir Ibrahim Koki, Deputy Chairman of the Home Committee on Petroleum Sources and Member representing Kano Municipal Federal Constituency, has resigned from the New Nigeria Folks’s Get together (NNPP).
He cited persistent management crises on the social gathering’s nationwide degree.
In a resignation letter dated November 11, 2025, addressed to the Zaitawa Ward Chairperson, Koki defined that the continued inner disaster on the social gathering’s centre had made it tough, if not inconceivable for him to ship efficient illustration to his constituents.
“I’ve taken this resolution as a result of the interior disaster within the social gathering management on the centre has made it tough, if not inconceivable, for me to proceed discharging my duties and supply my individuals with the specified illustration within the Home of Representatives,” Koki wrote.
He thanked the NNPP for offering him with a platform to serve.
He described the expertise as invaluable and famous that his resignation aligns with Part 40 of the 1999 Structure and the social gathering’s structure.
Koki’s departure comes simply two days after Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, left the NNPP to hitch the All Progressives Congress (APC).
