Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, on Wednesday mentioned the dangerous roads and lack of social facilities in Enugu Ukwu and Aguleri made him to cry in public.
The governor disclosed this in the course of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship marketing campaign rally in Anambra East.
Soludo assured that if reelected his administration wouldn’t go away anyone behind, stressing that everyone within the state can be carried alongside.
He mentioned: “The oldest man in Enugu Otu advised me that they wanted a tarred highway, I used to be at Enugu Ukwu Aguleri. That’s the place that I cried. I cried there publicly and that’s as a result of we drove to the place for nearly one and half hours and that is the worst highway that I’ve ever seen.
“I went on to ask a query, what if someone was in poor health and had an emergency by 1:00 am? I requested if that they had a hospital and so they mentioned no, I requested about pipe borne water, they mentioned no, electrical energy they mentioned no.
“Once I was going there the college kids lined up alongside the highway and so they had cardboard papers itemizing out what they wanted. A number of the faculties didn’t have seats, chairs. Some mentioned their roofs had been leaking, some mentioned that they had no lecturers, and all method of issues.
