The African Democratic Congress has debunked claims that it has chosen a candidate for the 2026 Osun governorship race, insisting that no such determination has been made.
In an announcement posted through his verified X account, the get together’s Nationwide Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the circulating movies and social media posts as deceptive.
“The movies and social media posts claiming that the get together has ‘picked’ a candidate are false and must be disregarded,” Abdullahi wrote.
He defined that the ADC has already launched and broadly publicised its timetable for the conduct of primaries and urged all aspirants to strictly observe the rules.
“For the aim of conducting the primaries to elect our flagbearer, a timetable has been issued. All aspirants are anticipated to stick to it,” he stated.
Abdullahi reaffirmed the get together’s dedication to inner democracy, stressing that the ADC “stays dedicated to the very best requirements of inner democracy, anchored on a free, honest and clear electoral course of.”
