Operatives of the Nationwide Drug Legislation Enforcement Company, NDLEA, have dismantled an opioids cartel in an intelligence-led operation throughout which an alleged baron, Onyekachi Nwanagu and 5 members of his gang have been arrested with illicit substances value over N6.7 billion recovered from their secret warehouse in a residential property in Lagos.
NDLEA in a press release, yesterday stated: “The arrest adopted credible intelligence that the drug trafficking organisation (DTO) was about distributing over 7.2 million drugs of tramadol 225mg and 526,200 bottles (52.6 million mls) of codeine syrup warehoused in a residential compound positioned at 23, Sunny Billa East Avenue, Bucknor, Isheri space of Isolo, Lagos State, forward of the Christmas festive season.
