Former presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Social gathering, NNPP, within the 2023, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has damaged silence on the report that he has a rift with Kano state governor, Abba Yusuf.
Talking in an interview on BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso dismissed the claims, insisting that there was no rift between him, the governor, or high members of the state authorities, opposite to what some politicians have been spreading.
Based on him, Governor Yusuf was chosen primarily based on benefit and long-standing loyalty to the Kwankwasiyya’s motion.
“There isn’t any drawback between me and Governor Abba. We gave him the chance to carry out, and he’s doing his finest. It’s simply that some mischievous people are attempting to create division the place there’s none.
“We rigorously examined the choices and located him most certified way back to 2019. We gave him the prospect to ship, and we proceed to assist him.
“These claiming that I management contracts or run the federal government are solely being mischievous. In due time, the reality will come out,” he stated.
