The Nigeria Police Pressure has secured the conviction of 59 international nationals concerned in a serious worldwide cybercrime syndicate uncovered in Abuja.

In an announcement on Thursday, the Pressure Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated the most recent convictions signify one other milestone within the ongoing crackdown on cybercriminals coordinated by the Nationwide Cybercrime Centre.

Hundeyin defined that the operation, performed on Saturday, November 3, 2024, adopted credible intelligence that led to a raid on a constructing within the Jahi space of Abuja.

Throughout the raid, police arrested 130 suspects, together with 113 international nationals—primarily Chinese language and Malaysians—and 17 Nigerians.

The suspects have been reportedly concerned in large-scale web fraud, subtle hacking, and different cyber actions posing severe threats to Nigeria’s digital safety.

Following detailed investigations and the presentation of forensic proof, 21 suspects have been first convicted in August 2025, adopted by one other 5 in September.

The newest 59 convictions deliver the full variety of convicted people to 85, whereas trials for the remaining suspects are ongoing.

Inspector-Normal of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, reaffirmed the Pressure’s dedication to eradicating cybercrime and warned that Nigeria wouldn’t function a haven for digital criminals.

He assured the general public that the Police would proceed to deploy superior expertise, strengthen worldwide partnerships, and uphold rigorous investigative and prosecutorial requirements to dismantle organised cybercrime networks.

Egbetokun added that the profitable convictions ship a powerful message to each native and international cybercriminals that the Pressure stays resolute in defending Nigeria’s our on-line world.
