A lawmaker representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, Sadiq Abdullahi, has introduced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Occasion, PDP.
Saying his resignation on Monday, Abdullahi cited the occasion’s deepening inner conflicts and what he termed lack of route as the first causes for his departure.
That is after what he described as a chronic interval of factionalism that has undermined his capacity to successfully serve his constituents.
His resignation comes shortly after that of the previous Nationwide Secretary of the occasion, Sunday Udeh Okoye.
Abdullahi, a Deputy Chairman of the Home Committee on the Federal Roads Upkeep Company, FERMA, introduced his resignation in a letter addressed to his ward chairman .
“The persistent inner conflicts and factionalisation throughout the PDP, which have culminated in a chronic occasion disaster, are adversely affecting my capacity to successfully characterize my constituency and carry out my duties optimally.
“I want to sincerely thank the PDP for the privilege and alternative to serve below its platform. The assist, belief, and experiences I’ve gained throughout my time with the occasion have been invaluable,” Abdullahi said.
