A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, has declared his his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election within the Sstate below the platform of the APC.
Omisore introduced his intention in a submit on his X deal with on Saturday.
The previous lawmaker stated the formal announcement would happen on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, on the Osun APC Secretariat in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.
The declaration, themed “Repair the Damaged, Restore Our Desires,” is scheduled for Tuesday.
“My beloved folks of Osun State, after deep reflection and broad consultations, I’ve determined to formally declare my intention to contest for the Governor of Osun State in 2026 below our nice celebration, the All Progressives Congress (APC),” Omisore wrote.
He added that his marketing campaign would concentrate on restoring hope, strengthening governance, and delivering a brighter future for the folks of the state.
“This isn’t simply my mission, it’s a collective one. I humbly invite you to affix me as we take this daring step in the direction of the Osun Rescue Mission 2026,” he stated.
Omisore, who contested the 2014 governorship election in Osun on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Celebration earlier than becoming a member of the APC, is anticipated to be among the many frontline aspirants within the ruling celebration’s race for the governorship ticket.
