The Nigerian authorities has directed all Ministries, Departments and Companies (MDAs) of presidency to start utilizing the Nationwide Credential Verification Service (NCVS) to confirm and authenticate educational certificates of workers and new hires in all authorities organisations.
In keeping with a round dated 8 August and issued by the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, George Akume, the directive was accepted on 4 February on the Federal Govt Council (FEC) assembly and can start from 6 October.
The round stated that via the NCVS, an institution of the Nigeria Training Repository and Databank (NERD), all verified credentials might be assigned a nationwide credential quantity (NCN).
The round requested the MDAs to submit annual NERD compliance studies by 30 March every year to make sure compliance.
