The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, on Saturday hinted on working for the presidency in 2027.
Umahi, who stated 2027 shouldn’t be the flip of the Southeast, vowed to run when the time comes.
He spoke in the course of the Ohanivo 2025 New Yam Competition in Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State.
The previous governor of the state stated he would reveal the variety of tasks President Bola Tinubu has used him to execute within the Southeast.
In keeping with Umahi, Igbos would choose when the time comes.
He stated: “It’s not our flip, when it’s our flip for the presidency who’s extra certified than this me?
“When the time comes I’ll inform you what the president has used me to do within the Southeast and let Igbos be the choose.”
In 2022, Umahi had declared his intention to run for the 2023 presidency.
This was after he consulted with the late former President Muhammadu Buhari after the present President, Bola Tinubu declared his intentions then.
On January 12, 2022, the previous governor stated God had knowledgeable him to run for the president of Nigeria.
