South Africa have suffered a significant setback forward of Friday’s Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier with Zimbabwe, after key participant Relebohile Mofokeng was dominated out as a result of damage.
Head coach, Hugo Broos, revealed this throughout his Monday’s press convention.
Broos has now referred to as up midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala to exchange Mofokeng.
He stated: “We changed him with Shabalala.
“Second, there are two gamers who haven’t arrived as a result of they performed on Sunday, that’s (Lyle) Foster and (Sphephelo) Sithole.”
South Africa at the moment sit in second place in Group C after FIFA’s factors deduction with 14 factors.
They may tackle Rwanda of their remaining qualifier subsequent week.
